Greg, Saw Dog & original (not spicy) pumpkin bread

To the east side of the city where I visited a friend and enjoyed some pumpkin bread, I was following two bikers, who were Greg and Saw Dog according to their jackets. They were riding cruisers, but for the life of me, I don’t know and couldn’t tell you if they were riding Harley-Davidsons, Kawasakis, or Hondas.

Before I stayed to watch “Best of the Worst: Black Spine Junka 2,” surprisingly the woman to the left of me, who left the job in September, asked a colleague about how I was doing, and the brother of the significant other asked me for a ride home Wednesday.

My acquiescence to his subsequent request for a ride to work caused me to hurry and made me late Thursday. I was also vaguely supportive of a colleague whom I sometimes disdain. Also, a certain time in the afternoon is the same threshold which I should keep in mind in regards to my blood sugar.

A coworker moved to a desk closer to those in his organizational unit, so the New Girl is actively engaging those around her since the dynamic has changed.

Veterans Club plans dinner, silent auction Dec. 6

“The JCCC Veterans Club will present its inaugural Veterans Club dinner and silent auction from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at VFW Post 846, 8804 Grant, Overland Park. The post is sponsoring the event.

Tickets for the spaghetti dinner are $10 per person (children 10 and under eat free) and will be on sale from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 3 and 4, at table 7 in COM. Club officers also will be taking donations for a chance drawing for the quilt of valor handcrafted by the Cavalier Quilters which can be seen in the display case on the second floor of COM.
