“My Magical Hero, Our Great and Powerful Trixie”

Through the years, I have been privileged to know many big-hearted people, who often give more love than they will ever receive in return; one friend spent her Christmas at a hospital with a long-time friend who might have otherwise been mostly alone today.

“When they saw the star, (Matthew 2:10)
they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.”
Dawnfire❄️ on Twitter: stay cozy this December everyone ☕️…

Every user on Facebook is a ‘friend’ and among them, I have become friends either knowing them in person, recently or sometime in my life; or playing now-defunct Zygna games; or mutual acquaintances, or shared interests; or mutual acquaintances with the same shared interest, like improvised comedy, or The Transformers, or even My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Among the latter category, I met a friend on eBay, another when he made me an administrator of his pony page, another through chat on that pony page, and many mutual friends from him. Among those friends, one who often give more love than they will ever receive in return appears to be leaving Facebook, saying:

I don’t care anymore. ~

No hope will be a gift, to those who never understood the real meaning of my love. ~
Goodbye. ~

While I am not the author, here is a response from her wall:

‘(( I send this poem I have made to thank sis for everything she did for us to make us feel loved, accepted, and happy ^3^ ))

“My Magical Hero”

“On the days I have been down, I felt like my heart was lost, until I met you and your mystic stars, stars that guided me home, a place that makes me feel welcomed, You love of magic has brought me to you, you who shines like a living star itself, no, you shine like the brightest Comet flying above the night sky forever bringing a smile to not only me but also the smiles of many, you always warm my heart and bring happiness to my life, bright star who saved my life, never shine down on me, continue being brighter to my heart for I love you, love you as the hero who saved my soul, Shine bright forever, My eternal magical Hero”

Merry Christmas and happy new year Our great and Powerful Trixie. 🥰🥇🧙‍♂️💙🦄💫⭐️🌟✨⚡️☄️🌈❄️☃️🏆🎭’

Trapped in My Mind

To admit that I was being a jerk can be difficult, especially with my sister, but I was a jerk this week to a friend on Facebook, who later unfriended me. To deny my contribution to the situation would deny myself an opportunity to grow and learn.

My viewing on YouTube led to “Charisma on Command, ‘We make videos to help you learn how to be more confident, how to make people laugh, how to be more likable’,” a pitch for a series on self-improvement. My comment was a factual statement but based on tearing down people when good humor flatters and edifies.

“Judah is a lion’s cub; from the prey, my son, you have gone up. He stooped down; he crouched as a lion and as a lioness; who dares rouse him? The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until tribute comes to him; and to him shall be the obedience of the peoples. (Genesis 49:9-10)”

How Jordan Peterson Wins An Argument,” which I have always wanted to know how to do, shows one should first expound on points of agreement in order to further a discussion.
Cute…
Cute…

What? Unfriended…Again?

“What? My mother was a saint! Get out!”

“Yo mama” is no apparent answer to “when is 92 is only halfway to 99?” And that’s what gets you unfriended; for once I figured out this time.

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another,
that you may be healed. (James 5:16)
The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”

Martin Luther King Jr. Day

A friend on Facebook shared the following about Martin Luther King Jr Day:

“I don’t celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. day, but I do recognize a man who put his life on the line for a cause he truly believed in. He’s a hero to some for this reason. I see him as an African American man who wanted to be treated equally and he fought for that change. Well, Mr. King, we haven’t gotten to the mountaintop yet and it’s 2018. One day, just one day we might muster up the mental strength if we figure out that we all need each other to achieve that milestone.
April 4, 1968. This day is my oldest siblings birthday. I don’t think they ever really celebrated their birthday for this reason. Just 7 years old at the time. It was a scary time then and it’s scary times now. We’ve got to do better. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Continue to rest, you did your best. It’s time for the US to step up and fix this mess.”

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD
plans for welfare and not for evil,
to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)”

‘Tis the Season for Soliloquy

‘To copy and paste to share,’ I try to not make a habit. When I do, I am sometimes unfriended the next day by someone who praised me for doing so. Please feel to guess with which of these I agree: Cadence!

“I like having health insurance, so I took two minutes to call.
Speaker Paul Ryan is indeed holding a phone vote on whether we should keep Obamacare, and I called and voted my support for the ACA. Real political results come from writing, calling, and nagging our legislators, and I encourage you to call and vote! This took me under 2 minutes.

Millions of Americans rely on Obamacare for health insurance. House Speaker Paul Ryan is currently conducting a phone survey on who supports the ACA (Obamacare). You don’t have to speak directly to anyone, just call, and after the recorded message, press a number to indicate your support of ACA. Let’s flood the survey with support.

Call (202) 225-3031 or (202) 225-0600.

Stay on if you get dead air. It takes around 90 seconds to connect to survey. Once it picks up, follow the prompts. If your call isn’t answered at first or it goes directly to the recording of ‘mailbox is full,’ wait 15 seconds and then try again. You will have to listen to a short message (<1 min) about the Speaker’s views on Obamacare before you vote.

Also, if you want to share this information, please copy & paste – do NOT share. Only mutual friends see a ‘share.’

‘I listened as they called the President a Muslim.

I listened as they called him and his family a pack of monkeys.

I listened as they said he wasn’t born here.

I watched as they blocked every single path to progress that they could.

I saw the pictures of him as Hitler and Satan.

I watched them shut down the government and hurt the entire nation twice.

I watched them turn their backs on every opportunity to open worthwhile dialog.

I watched them say that they would not even listen to any choice for Supreme Court no matter who the nominee was.

I listened as they openly said that they will oppose him at every turn.

I watched as they did just that.

I listened.

I watched.

I paid attention.

Now, I’m being called on to be tolerant.

To move forward.

To denounce protesters.

To ‘Get over it.’

To accept this…

I will not.

I will do my part to make sure this great American mistake becomes the embarrassing footnote of our history that it deserves to be.

I will do this as quickly as possible every chance I get.

I will do my part to limit the damage that this man can do to my country.

I will watch his every move and point out every single mistake and misdeed in a loud and proud voice.

I will let you know in a loud voice every time this man backs away from a promise he made to them.

Them. The people who voted for him.

The ones who sold their souls and prayed for him to win.

I will do this so that they never forget.

And they will hear me.

They will see it in my eyes when I look at them.

They will hear it in my voice when I talk to them.

They will know that I know who they are.

They will know that I know what they are.

Do not call for my tolerance. I’ve tolerated all I can.

Now it’s their turn to tolerate ridicule.

Be aware, make no mistake about it, every single thing that goes wrong in our country from this day

forward is now Trump’s fault just as much as they thought it was Obama’s.

I find it unreasonable for them to expect from me what they were entirely unwilling to give.’

“I keep seeing people post on how they are terrified, or scared? Well.. what are you scared of exactly? War? Because that’s happening. School shootings? Because that’s happening. Pipeline? That’s been happening. Terrorism? Definitely alive and well. Going broke due to health insurance? Mm yes. Corruption throughout the system? Already there. Police officers being murdered? Yep, that’s happening. Bullying? Check. Loss of jobs? We’ve got that on lock. A tanking economy. Yep. Being discriminated against for your religion, political views, sexual orientation, race? That’s been going on. Rape, murder, violence, riots.. all going on and has been.

So tell me, what are you scared of that is not already happening basically everywhere? This isn’t a Trump problem, this is a people problem. Y’all need to reevaluate your own selves..

Maybe America is a little too scared and a little too easily offended.

Quit being scared, crying around, offended by everything.. step up and do your part as an American, no, as a damn human being. Treat others with respect, help and encourage one another, raise your kids right, be a contributing member of society. Make sure your hands are clean, that’s your job. Burning the American flag? Get out of here with that, how about you do your job to make it a better place.

But right now, all I see is hate. It’s disturbing, and the ones with the most hate are being exactly what they claim to be against.

Copy and paste if you agree… this is common sense to me!”

Whirlwind weekend 030

This evening my friends and I watched Patton Oswalt: Talking for Clapping, which was almost as memorable as my response, “You insulted my pride,” in a manner similar to Lewis Black to a few minor inaccuracies:
