These Dreams by Heart

Last night, or this morning, whenever I was last asleep, I had these repeating dreams one involved a large group gathering with a friend since elementary school and food (especially ham), and in the other I was trying to write some speech for a class and needed a video on the same cassette as a recording of an episode of ‘Walker Texas Ranger’, “The Road to Black Bayou

Thanks, but the Kansas City Royals had a double-play yesterday,
so a McDouble® is one dollar today / There‘s something out there / I can’t resist:

“‘Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.’
For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved,
but the one whom the Lord commends. (2 Corinthians 10:17-18)”

Of course, before I left this morning, I asked my father if he wanted a McDouble. He said no, but thank you. Friday is when they collect trash in our neighborhood, so I also asked if I had woke him up when I was taking out the trash last Friday morning.

“I don’t know,” he continued, “that was a long time ago, Chris.”

Being Scott Malkinson, I can only dream, “I drank Starbucks’ Unicorn Frappuccino and now I sparkle,” analogous to New Girl and truth about her to which I have resigned myself— she was wearing her hair down yesterday then, with rubber bands she found at work, had some trouble to put it up into a ponytail.

I said to her, “There’s no hairstyle you can’t make work,” or something similar— I’ll be damned.

“Thank you,” she replied, “but these bands are going to hurt like hell when they have to come out.”

Truly, women go through such work for the sake of beauty, and I really fail to appreciate.

Would have been weird if I had made a status update without context

How Chuck Berry’s ‘Johnny B. Goode’ Helped Define ‘Back to the Future’

Opening Day

Sunday is opening day for the Kansas City Royals, Cheap Trick was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the rest of this post could potentially deviate from this Word of the Day at Dictionary.com – brevity: the quality of expressing much in few words.

Those events are both worthy of celebratory notes, yet I will be opening myself a bit now; the Old Girl does have satellite navigation, yet I have chosen to use Garmin, whose last update is over a year old: where I’m going there are no roads.

Also, a former coworker from the Arby’s in Mission, Kansas was strangely in the lobby of one of the hotels to which I was making a delivery, and she told me that she was recently in hospital. And she wasn’t even the former coworker with the chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder.

As confirmed by a medical doctor, I have full-on bronchitis, so I have had to cancel on friends last week; I don’t want to accidentally get them sick with something.

“Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. (Malachi 3:10)”

Bring the beat back 024

My third week as the delivery driver continues to yield insights and employment during the Spring Break. I have begun to use Mountain Dew® Kick-start™ again, even though I had stopped energy drinks for a while.

When the Royals were in the World Series in 2014, the starting and ending of the games often dictated what kind of business we had at Arby’s those evenings, and the continuing success of the University of Kansas men’s basketball team also continues to drive business at the pizza place. Today I missed a performance by Samantha Fish, and I don’t know if Donald Trump succeeded in a rally in Kansas City, Missouri, or if Ted Cruz also had a successful local rally, yet I do know that K.U. scored 81 – 71 against West Virginia.
