With some minor assistance from the woman to the left of me, who noticed when I worked through the second break, I came close to meeting production on my new process.
Since several schools in the area remain closed for the wintry conditions, I thought Pizza Street would be more crowded on Thursday; some children are having a six-day weekend.
My sister is employed by a local school district and a company that provides a service to a different local school district employs my friend David. One was paid for the holiday on Monday, while another was paid for the entire week.
“Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted,
but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:30-31)”

“You didn’t think they were really gonna pay you for Tuesday,” asked the woman to the left of me condescendingly, “did you?”
“You know, for a second there,” which is what Johnson County Community College does whenever they closed for weather, “yeah, I kinda did.”
With the ice everywhere outside, the server realizes curling is an Olympic sport in which he could possibly be competitive.

Crossing State Line, there’s a very characteristic bump as you enter Kansas and realize not only are you home, but any traffic offense is going to cost you twice as much; after having driven all the way to work only to find out it was closed, I also was disturbed to pass the street called Bent Tree Road a distance back.
Right now I’m at work, feeling both lethargic and philosophical, asking why am I here?

The closest IHOP to Josh is the closest IHOP to me, and for the exception of the kitchen staff and the lone server on the floor, I think the rest of the people there work about as hard as a bucket of apples.
“And Joshua said to them, ‘Do not be afraid or dismayed;
be strong and courageous. (Joshua 10:25)
For thus the LORD will do to all your enemies against whom you fight.’”

The woman to the left of me, as instructional and helpful as she can be, has a new mission to get me to stop opening and closing the drawer each time to get a rubber band. Just like old times, we are going to be able to work an hour early so overtime does not have to occur exclusively on the weekend. I’m going to have to say that I might have had a breakthrough today and my production might finally begin to increase.
Despite my “Optimal Situation,” a question has long lingered and at last is resolved. “Life is made up of meetings and partings. That is the way of it. I am sure that we shall never forget The Girl Next Door,” one week from Thursday when she leaves for her new job, “It’s time to bring this ship into the shore / And throw away the oars, forever.”
“I’ve got to be honest / I think you know /
You’re a god / And I am not / And I just thought I’d let you go.”
Yes, I volunteered to work tomorrow, if I work Saturday I will be paid at time and a half.
While I wasn’t able to blog like I wanted to yesterday, I did catch up on some episodes of #GrandTour

“fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed,
for I am your God; I will strengthen you,
I will help you, (Isaiah 41:10)
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

When I first worked at Arby’s, I attempted to use algebra to express the difference when he would be going home from when another coworker would be leaving for the day, and he politely, yet sternly requested, “Never do any math here again.”
“Tonight is the longest night of the year,” so I went to bed at five in the morning to make this day as short as possible; the quality of my day at work is inversely proportional to my day otherwise. Wednesday was awful.
